• During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, China’s manufacturing sector is coming to a strategic threshold. The restructuring of global supply chain, the pressure from both upstream and downstream industrial chains, business competition, diversity of public resources, as well as domestic supply-demand dynamics present China’s die and mould industry with both challenges and opportunities. With acceleration of digitization and rising global demand, China’s die and mould enterprises demonstrate competitiveness with quality products and upgraded equipment, capacity of coordination across industries and reinforcing global influence.

DMC 2022 has been postponed due to COVID-19. In 2021, China’s die and mould industry grew steadily with the output value reaching 324.6 billion RMB, at a year-on-year growth of 4.71%. Self-sufficiency of the industry improved as the annual import value stood at 1.46 billion USD, down 8% from the year earlier, and meanwhile the annual export value reached 7.48 billion USD, at a 19% year-on-year growth rate. Export of China’s die and mould reached more than 200 countries and regions with the trade surplus reached 6 billion USD. From Jan. to Sept. 2022, the import value of die and mould decreased 20% from the previous year, indicating a strong domestic supply. The export value of die and mould continued to increase at the rate of 5%, demonstrating the industry’s global competitiveness. China’s die and mould industry supports the country’s manufacturing sector and plays a more important role in the world.DMC 2023 INVITATION
