The 25th China International Die & Mould Technology and Equipment Exhibition, held 1–4 July alongside the first ISTMA World Conference hosted in China, drew buyers and delegations from 39 countries and regions.

SHANGHAI, 5 July 2026 — The 25th China International Die & Mould Technology and Equipment Exhibition (DMC2026) concluded on 4 July at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), closing a four-day run that registered 45,500 professional visits. Held under the theme "Exploring the Essence of Manufacturing, Reshaping the Future of Forming," this year's exhibition brought the die and mould industry together with the equipment and materials sectors across three dedicated segments: precision machining, die and mould manufacturing, and material forming. Visitors from 39 countries and regions attended, while exhibitors from 12 countries and regions — including France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and Turkey — joined group pavilions organized by mould industry associations from 31 Chinese provinces and municipalities.

Three-Sector Layout Spans the Full Forming Value Chain

Hall 4.1H hosted approximately 300 die and mould manufacturers, presenting cavity moulds for plastics and die-casting, stamping dies, and mould standard components. Digital-twin design, AI-enabled manufacturing and intelligent sensing ran through the full workflow from design to delivery, while advances in ultra-precision machining, complex multi-cavity structures and long-life wear-resistant materials addressed the tightening requirements of high-end manufacturing. Leading Chinese mould makers — including FAW Tooling, Tianjin Motor Dies, Xiaoya, Ruhu, Yinsen, Hexing and Kaihua — exhibited alongside international suppliers such as Misumi.

Hall 3H assembled the precision equipment matrix: United Machining Solutions, Makino, Mitsubishi Electric, Sodick, FIDIA, Dajet, MST, MOLDINO and Keyence shared the floor with Chinese builders such as Beijing Jingdiao, Genesis and Chuangshiji, covering five-axis machining centers, high-speed milling, EDM, laser processing, additive manufacturing systems, automation, high-precision metrology, CAD/CAM/CAE software and precision tooling. The same hall grouped mould material suppliers, with international brands including ASSAB and Erasteel exhibiting alongside Baowu Special Steel, Fushun Special Steel, Tiangong and other domestic producers — a pairing that underscored the growing depth of China's materials supply chain.

Opening Exchange Meeting Draws Government and International Industry Leadership

The opening exchange meeting on 1 July convened officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), the CCPIT Shanghai Sub-Council and several local governments, together with the President of ISTMA, leaders of national die and mould associations from Portugal, Brazil, Germany, South Africa, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain and Estonia, the representatives of the Federation of Asian Die and Mould Associations (FADMA). Opening remarks were delivered by Li Qi, Vice President of CMIF; Gu Chunting, Vice President of CCPIT Shanghai; and Bob Williamson, President of ISTMA. Business Matching Links Global Buyers with Chinese Suppliers

CDMIA and the DMC organizing committee fielded 69 professional buyer delegations during the show. Procurement groups from 39 countries and regions — among them Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, Turkey, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Canada and Hong Kong, China — conducted on-site negotiations across the halls. A dedicated VVIP procurement program brought decision-makers from user industries including consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, home appliances and medical devices: tooling directors and purchasing heads from Toyota, SAIC Volkswagen, Bosch, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Midea, Luxshare and COMAC met exhibitors in pre-arranged sessions, while sourcing requirements from Fortune 500 manufacturers including Ford, Faurecia, Schaeffler, 3M, Tyco Electronics and Shimano were matched with mould and equipment suppliers in the VVIP meeting area.

Concurrent Events Extend the Platform

DMC2026 was staged in coordination with four co-located exhibitions covering embodied intelligence, heat-treatment equipment and technology, low-carbon smart mobility, and forming equipment, creating cross-sector linkage along the manufacturing value chain. A series of technical seminars addressed mould technology, metal cutting, additive manufacturing and lubricants. The industry–academia–research zone presented commercialization projects from institutions including the Shanghai Technical Institute of Electronics and Information and Changzhou Vocational Institute of Industry Technology, extending CDMIA's long-standing work on translating research into industrial application.

The exhibition is organized by the China Die and Mould Industry Association and the Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. The 26th edition of Die & Mould China is scheduled for 2027 in Shanghai.
