-- 2022 New Year's Address
We are in the era of challenges and opportunities, confidence and perseverance. Complex international situation and domestic challenges are intertwined, volatility and complexity have become the norm. In 2021, COVID-19 pandemic raged through the world, the global environment remained extremely complex and unpredictable. Market disruptions and demand shifts resulted in uncertainties such as R&D budget crunch in both traditional and emerging industries and shrinking purchase orders from downstream sectors. With disrupted material and energy supply, the downward pressure of manufacturing industry became prominent. For Chinese entrepreneurs, this year was a year of adjustment accompanied by challenges. Demand fluctuation, production discontinuity and uncertainty in die and mould industry led to great pressure on die and mould makers, which exacerbated their decision-making risk. In the past year, China's economic development faced challenges. Leveraging resources of domestic market demand and policy stimulus, China’s die and mould industry kept developing smoothly. China’s die and mould enterprises responded to both domestic and international demand, made technological progress, demonstrated resilience. In particular, the CPC and the government’s tax policy support accelerated technological development and structural adjustment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Therefore, die and mould enterprises, SMEs in particular, worked together with upstream and downstream sectors, helped keep domestic and global industrial and supply chains stable and smooth. China’s die and mould industry has met the new demand made by forming processes and has demonstrated the industry’s support to industrial and supply chains. China’s die and mould industry serves as an important pillar for people’s livelihood and China’s economy.
2021 is a year for a review of achievements and making historic strides.
